Day 38 of my Average to Epic journey. Another ride today — but today’s message is about my college ISTC, and ICARE.

Back in 2014, when an ISTCian left us too soon in Australia, the community came together in a one-off effort of support.

That spirit has now grown into ICARE — an officially registered trust, created to stand by ISTCians and their families in times of crisis.

I am an ISTCian, and in 2022 I was also a beneficiary. When I collapsed and was hospitalised for three weeks, ICARE supported my family through that crisis.

The i-CARE Fund is managed by a committee of eminent ISTC alumni, with its own account independent of ISTCOSA. Requests are reviewed, and the committee ensures help reaches where it’s needed most.

During this 100-day journey, I’ll also focus on creating more awareness about ICARE, and highlighting the work it has accomplished so far — so it can grow stronger for the benefit of all.

And when you come to Chandigarh this December, you can ask your questions — or contribute in your own capacity.
